The First Gold Hotel is located on the actual site of the first gold discovery in Deadwood Gulch in 1875. It was that discovery that set the wheels of history in motion, and brought such notables as James "Wild Bill" Hickok, Calamity Jane, Charlie Utter and Seth Bullock to the area. Located just blocks from where Wild Bill Hickok was shot while playing his last hand of poker, the First Gold Hotel has a lot to offer, including free onsite parking.
