Deadwood PBR
The annual Deadwood PBR is June 6-7, 2025, at the Days of ‘76 Rodeo Grounds. This rodeo is the fourth stop on the King of the North Showdown series, when the world’s best professional bull riders take on the toughest bulls in the business. This family-friendly event will also include delicious food vendors and a chance to meet the rodeo stars in person.
One of rodeo’s most popular events, professional bull riding (PBR) is a contest between man and bull: riders must try to stay on a bucking bull for at least 8 seconds. For those that can stick it out, they’re scored on their skill and technique as they ride. Top scorers take the prize.
According to the Deadwood Chamber, “Professional Bull Riding (PBR) is a thrilling and iconic Western sport that traces its roots to the rugged landscapes of the American West. Originating from traditional rodeo events, PBR has evolved into a standalone spectacle that showcases the intense relationship between man and beast.”
Gates open at 5:30 pm and the event starts at 7 pm both days. Tickets are $20 to $75, depending on seats, and available online or at the rodeo grounds ticket booth.
